26/10/03: Molly on the mend *updated 31/10/03* |
|
|
|
Molly, a young cross
breed dog, is slowly recovering after being found in a
horrific condition some distance from Swansea. She was
taken in by the staff of the Llys Nini Animal Centre
and is being nursed back to health in the isolation
ward. She appears to have given birth to puppies in the
recent past, and is suffering from massive fur loss
over most of her body. She was understandably nervous
of people and has been given plenty of quiet time to
rest and to realise that the staff at Llys Nini are
nothing but friendly. |
|
The staff of Llys Nini are glad
to report that Molly is making steady progress. Her
skin condition is responding to treatment slowly,
but she is learning to trust people once again and
to show her true personality.
It is not yet known when Molly will be able to be rehomed with a loving owner. There are many other animals who are ready to leave Llys Nini - are you in a position to help? Click this link to visit the 'adoption' section of the 'how you can help' page. |

Molly is now well on the road to recovery. With the winter coming in, she now wears a jacket to keep her warm where the fur is starting to grow back. All the kennels at Llys Nini have purpose-designed heating to keep the animals warm and comfortable, but she needs a little extra help for the moment. |
