14/10/04: Llys Nini helps blind cat find her way home |
A blind cat was found wandering the streets of Swansea has been reunited with her owners after staff of the Llys Nini Animal Centre contacted the South Wales Evening Post for help. She was bewildered by her change in surroundings but otherwise unhurt. Gary Weeks, Deputy Manager of Llys Nini said "One of the Animal Collection Officers picked up a blind cat from Orpheus Road in the Ynsforgan area on the evening of Tuesday, September 21. "It has a red plastic flea collar on it and is ginger and white in colour with a little black patch on its back left leg and on the end of its tail. |
"The cat is an adult female, probably aged about seven or eight, who has more than likely managed to escape from the house but due to it being blind has not been able to return home. Her owners saw the article in the Evening Post and were soon reunited with her owner. It is thought that the cat managed to escape and soon found herself lost and unable to work out how to get home without help. |
