07/12/06: Give a long stay animal from Llys Nini a home |
|
|
The Llys Nini Animal Centre has a number of animals who, through no fault of their own, have been at the Centre for some time. Many are 'case' animals, who cannot be offered for rehoming until their cruelty case passes through the courts and the animal concerned is legally allowed to be offered to a new owner. Here are two such stories. The pictures shown are of the animals now, and are a marked contrast to how they were upon arrival. The staff dedicate hour after hour to helping the animals recover, and in many cases, to trust people again. Details of many of the animals who are currently looking for homes are available. If you do like any particular animal, please contact the staff of Llys Nini before travelling to ensure that they are still with us. Thank you, on behalf of all at Llys Nini.

A Flea infested and emaciated dog seized from a Swansea family home by the RSPCA was less than two thirds its proper weight."This animal had very simple and obvious ailments that could have been dealt with using very simple and obvious treatment," prosecutor John Tarrant told Swansea magistrates. |
"Hi, I am Cassie and I am desperately looking for a new home as I have been here a long time as a cruelty case and do not like being in kennels at all. I am quite timid and can be a little nervous of new people but am super friendly once I know you. I would preferably like a fairly quiet home with no young kids or other dogs. If you think you can help me then please ask to see me out of my kennel. Love and licks, Cassie. xxx" |
"My name is Molly. I am a 2 to 3 year old Doberman bitch who really, really needs a new loving home. |
Molly, a Doberman bitch, is currently being cared for at the Llys Nini animal rescue centre in Penllergaer. She was rescued by inspector Elaine Spence. When she was found all the bones in her body were said to be prominent and she weighed less than 20 kilograms. Molly is still at Llys Nini, she has been through a lot and deserves a loving home. In her kennel she can appear to be aggressive, but when you met her she is a lovely dog. She needs a home with no other animals and were she can get lot of love. |
